DAY 1 | Arrive Milan

Our staff will meet you in Milan and you will be transferred to our accommodation in Bellagio by Coach where our cycling tour begins.

After check in, our staff will assist with the building of your bike and we will take a short local ride to ensure that we have ironed out any mechanical problems.

Tonight we will host you all to drinks in the Gardens of the Hotel.

DAY 2 | Porlezza Markets

Not a particularly difficult ride but if the markets are your main goal there is a shorter option for the shoppers. Simply ride into Perlozza and get a head start thereby missing to days small climb.

DAY 3 | Como Loop

One of the prettiest and easiest rides of the entire tour, this circuit of Lake Como requires some attention as we travel through busy Como and Cernobbio before heading North to the Tremezzina where we will get the Ferry back over to Bellagio at the end of today’s ride. Riding along lakeside can be a little deceiving so don’t spend all your pennies and beware the false flats and little bumps.

DAY 4 | A Swiss Interlude

Some very pleasant riding down the west shoreline of Lake Como to Cernobbio before we head west into Switzerland and Lago  di Lugano. A solid 8km of climbing until we again reach the border before crossing back into Italy for a lovely descent downs to the shores of Lake Como and home.

DAY 5 | Rest Day

Take the day to visit Como or Cernobbio or take a stroll in the steep narrow walking streets of Bellagio for shopping or dining or simple people watching. Organise a group and book a beautiful open wooden boat for a lake tour and lunch or for the culinary wizards, let me organise a Private Cooking Lesson with in house Chef.

Day 6 | The Church of Madonna del Ghisallo

This ride takes us via Magrelio and the Church of Madonna del Ghisallo which is also a cycling museum. Original items used by Bartali, Coppi, Merckx as well as the bicycle Moser used in Mexico City in 1984 to improve hour record and Fabio Casartelli's bicycle used in Tour 1995 can all be seen here. Be prepared for some switchbacks and short sharp climbs, some at 16%

Day 7 | Lecco Loop

Today’s Ride begins with a Ferry Ride to Varenna where we head inland via some sharp climbs before descending into Lecco where we will take some time out to explore. Then on along the western shoreline of the Lake and home.

 DAY 8 | Coach Transfer to Tuscany

We will be transferred from our Hotel in Bellagio to our Hotel in the heart of Tuscany where the next leg of our cycling adventure begins..

 DAY 9 | The Towers of San Gimigagno

Today’s ride is a fabulous introduction to the Tuscan Sun and provides a taste of things to come with picture postcard scenery culminating in our arrival at the medieval town of San Gimignano where we stop for brunch and an extended break for walking the streets and alleyways of this stunning Tuscan town famed world over for its towers.

DAY 10 | Chianti Heartland

Today we take a longer ride with a few more lumps as we head to Castellina and Greve in Chianti where we will take time out for coffee and a wander through this amazing town sampling local produce as we go. Then it is time to head home to a well-deserved dip in the Hotel pool perhaps.

DAY 11 | Raddicondoli & Casole D'Elsa

Heading South from our base, our destination is the medieval hilltop village of Radicondoli. This beautiful medieval hamlet, a long way off the beaten path, is well worth a look around. It is also very scenic with sensational views from the top when we arrive. Coffee and sustenance before we head to Mensano and Casole D’Elsa before returning home once more.

DAY 12 | Rest Day

Time to treat yourself to the Cities of Tuscany. Both Florence and Siena are easily achievable and should not be missed.

DAY 13 | Volterra

A later start today, our aim is Volterra which is a town of great architectural interest located 1770 feet above sea level between the rivers Bra and Cecina. Volterra boasts two fine castles and Etruscan remains. Perhaps more importantly the ambience of Volterra is amazing easily rivalling that of the more famous destination of San Gimignano. This then is the reason for our late departure – time to wander the streets and shop before we dine at a fabulous restaurant before being coached back to our Hotel.

DAY 14 | Castellina in Chianti & Monteriggioni

Castellina in Chianti is a typical Tuscan wine village located atop a forested hillside.  Stopping here for coffee and sustenance before pressing on to Monteriggioni, which is without doubt, one of the most classical and best known Italian walled towns. Time again for a wander and perhaps some lunch here before heading home. Sadly this afternoon it is time to pack and prepare for our journeys home.

DAY 15 | Transfer to Milan

Today we will be coached to Milan where it is time to relax for a cycle free 3 days exploring one of the Worlds most fashionable Cities.

DAY 18 | Depart Milan

Today you will be transferred to Milan Malpensa Airport for your retur flights home.
